Dear Residents of Montgomery County MUD No. 89,
As summer approaches and temperatures begin to climb, it is important to remember to conserve water both inside and outside the home. As seen in the graphic below, much of the greater Houston area is experiencing some form of drought conditions:
The current Texas drought map can be found here. Reducing water consumption and irrigation will help protect the District’s water supply infrastructure and the aquifer from which the District receives its water supply. If the District’s water supply decreases and/or further pressure is placed on the District’s water supply infrastructure, the District’s Drought Stage Contingency could progress to a more restrictive stage, which is why it is important to conserve water and follow the Drought Stage Contingency requirements. Please visit the District’s website for more information on the restrictions and ways to conserve water.
